The whole thing that I just heard from my boss about how people sell scrap jewelry and make money has me thinking. I would love to be able to sell off some of the old pieces that I have just stored away in my top dresser drawer. I thought that someday, some of it would come back in style but now I am not so sure. If I just sell old jewelry and make a little money than it will be worth it and I will not have to wait and see if they come back into style.

There have been two dentist offices close in my town in the last three months alone. I guess that the big fancy family dentistry chain office that went in is hurting the little guys. Since the new big family dentistry office is open late during the week and they also are open on Saturday, it is just easier to go to them since it does not take four to five months to get into them like it seems the older dentists work.

I decided to check out the new place last week when I had a pounding toothache and my family dentist could not see me till the following day. The new place accepts walk ins and everyone in town knew that since they were advertising it all over the place. I think they actually started advertising, about six months before they actually opened. I guess they figured that if people had just had a cleaning, they would not need another one till they had their doors open and they would give them a chance.

I feel bad for the two most recent dentist offices to close in town, but I am sure that the new family dentistry chain office would be willing to give them a job since their business is booming.

The six petrol mowers that we use for our farm were all bought from the same store and at the same time. I had been given a big bonus at work and we could not think of anything better to do with the money other than buy enough petrol mowers for each family member and then we could knock out the mowing in a lot less time.

We used to have just two rotary lawnmowers and we all took turns by two mowing every weekend. It took up most of the two days and by the time that Thursday would roll around, the grass would be looking too long again and we would all dread the weekend.

After we bought the six new petrol mowers, we sold the two rotary lawnmowers and used that money to buy six gas cans and fill them up so we could have them close to the spots we were mowing and not have to come back up the house and refill. Having the six mowers has cut our mowing time down to just a few hours on the weekends and we have a lot more spare time. They are the smartest things that we have ever bought.
