Jewelry — Angie @ 4:42 pm
I decided that as a last resort to sell old gold jewelry that had belonged to my great grandmother and my grandmother many years ago. My mother passed it all down to me and told me that someday it would all be worth a lot of money. I never believed her since it was all a little gaudy to me. I decided to just hold onto it to make her happy though.
Last month, my daughter became very ill and the doctors have been having trouble figuring out just what is causing it. The bills are already coming in for the many tests that have already been ran without any actual results. I knew that to sell old gold jewelry these days was very common since all the local jewelry shops advertise it now.
I called and explained the reason behind why I wanted to sell gold jewelry to them and they told me to bring it in and they would offer me the best price possible. I truly almost fell over when the lady that owned the store told me that to sell gold jewelry to them, all the pieces, they would give me fifteen thousand dollars. I wish that my mother was here to hear just how valuable these pieces actually are.

The personal trainer directory that I have been using must have recently been updated since there are four people on it that I have never seen before in my area. I need to find a personal trainer since mine is moving out of the state. I have used this guy for the past four years and it will be hard to find a personal trainer like him. He gave me a list of people that he recommends, but I have seen most of these guys and I know that I will not be comfortable with them.
I may have to switch to a different gym to find a personal trainer that I like and since the personal trainer directory has some new names on it, I am very hopeful that one of the new guys will work out for me. I usually sit back and watch a personal trainer when I want to determine if we will be a good fit or not and I did just that with the guy I used to have. He knew when to push his clients and when to back off, a skill that some personal trainers lack.
If I can find a new personal trainer before the end of the week, I will be happy and will not lose any workout time either.

It seems to me that since the whole swine flu thing happened we have been buying more purell for our office than ever before. I decided to pull out the order forms from the last few winters, when the regular flu season starts and found that on average, we bought at least four gallon jugs of purell from our sales rep and this year have already bought seven purell gallon jugs.
When I pulled the order forms, I also noticed that the price of both of the items that we get from that sales rep have gone way up in price. I only get air fresheners and the hand sanitizer from them and it looked as though the air fresheners actually cost twice as much as they did two years ago. No one has ever brought this to my attention and I think that the girl who handles the books should have notified me that I am paying more than before.
I am going to schedule a meeting with my bookkeeper and my sales rep to get to the bottom of the price hike that is occurring without me knowing. If the sales rep can show me that every other company in the area is charging the same for the purell and the air fresheners then I will let it go but if he cannot, then he needs to come down in price or I will find someone new to get those things from.

Our only chance of getting some different working poweredge servers, is finding some that have been refurbished back to their original state and are priced very low. Our technical budget is gone for the year and there is no way that we can keep paying to have the dell repair man come out and fix the servers we have one more time.
I truly believe that if we would have taken the money that we have given the dell repair man and saved it, we would have been able to afford a brand new pair of poweredge servers. Of course, this was not possible because we actually have to have the servers up and running to create the cash flow to pay for the repairs.
We do have some other ways that we may be able to get some new or used servers, but we will have to max out our credit cards to do it. We cannot come up with any other solutions to the problem and time is running out. All the managers are going to attend a meeting and vote on buying the poweredge servers with our credit cards, or just paying the dell repair man again when that time comes.

I might be ordering new systems for my restaurants that are going to make it easier to check people out at the cash register. I have seen many of the new systems from all the sales representatives that stop into my restaurants and try to sell me them all the time. After seeing some good systems, I found one that I really liked and decided to order all the parts used.
I found a used point of sale equipment site and they had everything that I would need, so I ordered them and had them sent to my biggest restaurant. I wanted to put the used pos equipment in there, let the girls learn it and then go back to the used point of sale equipment site and order some more systems for my other stores. I would have each of the systems delivered one at a time when I knew the girls from the big restaurant could take the time to teach each of the teams one by one.
The sales reps were going to be very upset when they came in to sell me the newest, latest and greatest system and discover that I had in fact bought used pos equipment and we taught ourselves to use it.
