My one thing that I remember from having slumber parties with my cousins was the footie pajamas that we would all wear. I guess that since we were only about six years old and lived way up north where sometimes you did not leave the house for days if a big snowstorm came through, it made sense to be all bundled up.

I wanted to get my sisters and cousins something for Christmas that would remind them of all the fun we used to have. I bought each of them some footie pajamas that I found in adult sizes online. I also got them each a different board game, just like the ones that we used to play for hours at a time.

I sent off the packages early enough in the month that I knew they would get them before the holidays. I think that they all made it to their destinations about the same day since I got five calls all within four hours of each other. My one cousin told me that every time she walks by the toddler pajamas section and sees the footie pajamas she thinks of those slumber parties. I invited all of them to come out where I live and bring their new pajamas along and we could have an old fashioned slumber party like we used to do.

My final thing to do for the day was to get the office supplies order faxed over to the warehouse. I had been working on it all day and had to stop when we had a copy machine disaster. I had to stop putting the order together and start working on getting the copy machine company there quickly to fix it. It took two hours once the repair man got there to get it back up and running.

I then took my lunch and was trying to get myself psyched up to get back to work and finish up the order that they office supply company would be waiting on. They knew that the order was coming, and they had to get it all ready to be shipped overnight, so I am sure that one of them will be working late tonight, just as I am.

Two additional hours of figuring out what office supplies were needed for the next week. I finished at about seven and faxed it to the office supply company with a note explaining how sorry I was for getting it to them so late. I did get a return fax back, that explained that it was okay and that they had lots of late orders , so I should not feel too bad.

When my parents decided to downsize from a thirty four hundred square foot house to a twelve hundred square foot condominium, they had to get rid of a lot of things to make it work. I had always been fascinated with my mother collection of Prada and Gucci handbags that she had compiled over the years.

I asked her if she would have to part with any of them when they moved. My mother told me that I could go into her closet and choose four Prada handbags and four Gucci handbags from her collection that I could have for myself. I was so excited that I think I ran all the way up the stairs to her closet. It took me about thirty minutes to make up my mind of which ones I wanted, but in the end I was very happy with my choices.

My mother also gave my sister and sister in law four Prada handbags and four Gucci handbags apiece to be fair. The funny thing is, she still has quite a few handbags left to move into their new condo when they go in about a month. She told me that she will just have to store them in the spare bedroom closet for now.

I was attending a local business networking meeting last month when a new company decided to join. The new company sold janitorial supplies and they were going to be moving into our city very shortly. They wanted to make themselves known to all of the local businesses. The gentlemen that represented them handed out their cleaning products price list and just asked that all of us make sure that if we were not the ones who ordered those things for our office that we give it to the person who did.

I gave the cleaning products list to the woman in charge of housekeeping in our building and she promised to take a look at it. She came to find me about four days later and let me know that she had gotten it approved for our company to start using my friend’s janitorial supplies company instead of our old one.

I laughed and told her that I did not know the guy, he just came to a meeting and I took the price list to be nice. I let her know that I did not want any of the credit for the switch since I had no idea of what kind of business that this company was, for all I know they might be very unprofessional. She told me to take the credit since this new company was going to save our company about five thousand dollars a year in cleaning products.

When my five year old told me that he wanted some funny t shirts, I asked him what he wanted it to say. He said that he did not know, but that he wanted funny t shirts.
